Public parks need to be assessed. Recreational leagues are struggling in <br />keeping families involved in extracurricular activities because of fear of <br />safety. The City should pass a retrofit ordinance similar to that passed by other <br />cities (e.g., L.A., Santa Monica, West Hollywood, etc.) to require <br />earthquake retrofit of buildings vulnerable to collapse in an earthquake <br />(unreinforced masonry, older wood, and older concrete buildings) to <br />protect our community's housing stock and business continuity. <br />22. 1 felt the survey covered the main issues, housing is just too expensive for <br />low income individuals and families, especially single parent households. <br />23.
