The most effective community development was street lighting and the <br />streets look a bit more safe because of the many more and new bright <br />lights for when it is night <br />123. 1 would have to say the bike lanes throughout the city <br />124. 1 am very happy that downtown Santa Ana is currently going through <br />renovations. The previous shops there were an embarrassment to the city <br />and now things are improving, yet downtown still needs places for <br />entertainment and shopping there are two US standards. <br />125. The economic revitalization of DTSA has been great but we need to also <br />focus on helping long-time businesses stay in areas that are economically <br />improved. <br />127. New parks and community center. <br />128. Adding more funding to libraries and Rec classes. The more we focus in <br />our youth the less we will spend later <br />129. Job training <br />130. Community events have been very beneficial to the city. Creating a <br />sense of unity can be very beneficial for lots of communities in Santa Ana. <br />131. All the improvements made, economic and structural <br />132. New parks and recreation centers and few marathons and bike walks. <br />133. Graffiti removal is a huge plus! <br />134. Downtown revitalization. <br />135. creating more children and parents programs during and after school. <br />136. I'm not familiar with the efforts of the City to help the homeless. <br />30. Do you think there are gaps in the housing, economic development, or community <br />development services offered by the City? If so, what are they? <br />Open -Ended Responses to Question 30: <br />1. There is so much to be done in each sector. Housing -take the empty <br />parcels in the city and build affordable housing. Economic development - <br />create pathways for those individuals that don't have the right to work <br />status in the United States.
