There need to be over 40,000 new <br />housing units just to retain the young adults going away to college to <br />come back to their city to work when they finish college. This means there <br />need to be housing for young professionals, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments <br />that are affordable with starting wage positions. There need to be <br />multifamily housing for the families that currently live within the city so that <br />there is not the impaction that currently exists because the units are not <br />built for families. This housing needs to accommodate a flourishing <br />workforce.
