ARTICLE I <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br />1.1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-blilias-Brown Act, Government Code §3500, <br />et seq., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City") has recognized the Service <br />Employees International Union, Local 721 (hereinafter called the "Union" or "SEIU') as <br />the recognized representative of the bargaining unit which includes part-time civil service <br />personnel employed by the Ciry in classifications listed in Exhibit A of this Memorandum <br />of Understanding (MOU). <br />1.2 During the term of this MOU, no substantive issue of representation shall be raised contrary <br />to this MOU, except as provided in the City's Employer -Employee Relations Resolution <br />(EERR) No. 81-75. <br />2019-2022 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEIU Part -Time Civil Service Employees it Page 8 (^ <br />20C-11 <br />
