One AM radio station and two FM stations are located in the City. Residents of the City receive radio <br /> and television broadcasting serving the metropolitan Los Angeles area. The City owns and operates a cable <br /> television station KCTY. <br /> Recreation <br /> The mild climate of Orange County makes possible a wide range of recreational opportunities for <br /> residents and visitors. Along the County's Pacific Coast shoreline are five state beaches and parks, five <br /> municipal beaches and five county beaches. There are two small craft facilities in Newport Harbor. A third <br /> small craft facility is located in Sunset Harbor in Huntington Beach, and a fourth is at Dana Point. Nearby <br /> recreational facilities include the world famous Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and Mission San Juan <br /> Capistrano. <br /> Within the City, there are three golf courses, numerous parks, the Santa Ma Zoo and the Bowers <br /> Museum. Anaheim Stadium, home of the California Angels baseball team and the Rams foot <br /> ball team <br /> Anaheim Arena, home of the Mighty Ducks hockey team, are six miles north of the City. , and the <br /> Camping facilities are available in the Cleveland National Forest and at the County's O'Neill and <br /> Featherly Parks, all close to the City. <br /> CITY FINANCES <br /> Annual Reports <br /> The Executive Director of the Department of Finance and Management Services prepares a <br /> comprehensive annual financial report setting forth the financial condition of the City as of June 30 of each <br /> fiscal year. The latest completed report is for the year ended June 30, 1993. See APPENDIX B -- GENERAL <br /> PURPOSE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS (COMBINED STATEMENTS -- OVERVIEW) OF CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA. The comprehensive annual financial report is the official financial report of the City and is <br /> prepared following generally accepted accounting principles. <br /> The General Purpose Financial Statements (Combined Statements - Overview) of the City for the fiscal <br /> year ended June 30, 1993 (the "Audited Financial Statement"), have been examined by Deloitte & Touche, <br /> Santa Ma, California, independent certified public accountants, whose report thereon appears in Appendix B. <br /> The auditor's letter concludes that the audited financial statements present fairly, in all material <br /> respects, the financial position of the City and the results of its operations and cash flows of its proprietary fund <br /> types for the year then ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. A complete copy of <br /> the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the City for the year ended June 30, 1993, which includes the <br /> Audited Financial Statements as well as certain other supplemental and statistical information, is available upon <br /> written request from the City, Department of Finance and Management Services, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa <br /> Ma, California, 92702 Attention: Executive Director. <br /> Certificate of Achievement <br /> The Government Finance Officer's Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a <br /> Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City for its comprehensive annual <br /> financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1993.
