Introduce the Draft Five -Year Strategic Plan <br />May 19, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />Results showed the City Council, City management, and the public share many of the same goals. <br />The proposed Plan (Exhibit 1) includes the following Strategic Priorities (not listed in order of <br />importance): <br />1. Financial Stability <br />2. Community Safety <br />3. Modern Facilities & Infrastructure <br />4. Efficient City Services <br />5. Economic Diversification & Expansion <br />Each Strategic Priority has associated goals and performance measurements for the next five <br />years. The draft Strategic Plan also includes initiatives that will be developed one year at a time, <br />using the Strategic Priorities and Goals as a guide. City management has internally developed <br />specific initiatives for Fiscal Year 2020-21 to support each goal. The final plan will be presented for <br />City Council consideration along with the presentation of the final proposed citywide budget. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Exhibit: 1.
