While I am not opposed to the expansion of communication carrier services, the proposals for
equipment within the neighborhoods is extremely large and unsightly. In our historic neighborhoods these
installations would significantly detract from the beauty of our neighborhoods, which currently contribute to
increased tax dollars via higher home values.
To date all wireless communications equipment have mostly been limited to major streets, but these projects
appear to encroach within the communities for the first time. We must strive to promote the beautification of
Santa Ana, and one way of doing this is by requiring aesthetically pleasing communications equipment within
the neighborhoods, if indeed they are necessary.
I urge you to halt the installation of the proposed wireless communication equipment in the Wilshire Square and
Heninger Park Neighborhoods and work with the vendors to require an aesthetically pleasing design for utility
poles within the neighborhood boundaries, ideally designs that are representative of the history of our
neighborhoods.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and your contributions toward making Santa Ana a beautiful place
to live.
Regards,
Scott Davidson
1146 S Ross Street
