Yin I Associate II <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Karl Yin is experienced in the investigation, <br />evaluation, and repair of new and existing <br />structures. Since joining WJE in 2017, Ms. Yin <br />has performed investigations and analysis on <br />steel, concrete, and wood structures. To aid in <br />understanding the behavior of complex <br />structures, she has utilized computer analysis <br />software on projects. In hertime with WJE, <br />Ms. Yin has also gained experience in <br />assessment of building envelopes for historic <br />buildings and new construction, and has <br />participated in the investigation of <br />waterproofing systems. <br />Prior to joining WJE, Ms. Yin obtained her <br />bachelor's and master's degrees in structural <br />engineering from the University of California, <br />San Diego (UCSD). During her time at UCSD, <br />she focused on structural analysis and design <br />of steel and concrete civil structures subjected <br />to seismic activity. Ms. Yin developed and <br />tested a microconcrete mix to be used to <br />create small scale models for testing.
