�7:11:31f'] <br />Concerning proposed changes to the City of Santa Ana curbside cart refuse <br />services charge. <br />Date: June 2, 2020 <br />Time: 5:45 P.m. <br />Location: City Council Chambers <br />zz Civic Center Plaza <br />Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />The Santa Ana City Council will hold a public hearing at the time, date <br />and location specified here to consider a proposed two-year schedule of <br />increasesto the City's residential/curbside cart refuse services rates. <br />If adopted, the proposed rate increases will become effective on July 1, <br />zozo, and July 1, zozl. <br />The public hearingwill be conducted per California Constitution Article XIII D, Section 6 (also known as <br />"Proposition zi8"This notice is being sent to all owners and customers of record whose parcels receive <br />residential/curbside cart refuse service from the City of Santa Ana, who would be subject to the proposed rate <br />adjustments. <br />All members of the publicare invited to attend the public hearing. Additionally under California State Law, owners <br />and customers of record may submit a written protest to the proposed rate changes. Only one protest per parcel <br />ispermitted. <br />Please refer to the "How Can I Participate?" section of this document for instructions on submitting a formal <br />written protest against the proposed action. You may also appear at the public hearing at the date and time <br />specified above. <br />More information is available online at https://www.santa-ana.org/green/Prop2i8-2020. <br />The City of Santa Ana welcomes your participation and input throughout the process as the City <br />Council considers the rate adjustments explained in this Notice. If you have questions or <br />comments about the proposed rates, here's what you can do: <br />CALL OR VISIT. Information on the proposed increases is available for review at the City's Public Works <br />Department and on our website: https://www.santa-ana.org/green/Prop218-2020 or call 714-647-5090 with <br />questions. <br />WRITE OR E-MAIL. Written protests may be mailed to The City of Santa Ana, Attention: City Clerk, P.O. Box <br />1988, Mai, Santa Ana, CA 92702;delivered in -person to City Hall, zo Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana; or e- <br />mailedtoecomment( Santa-ana.org.Allprotestsshallincludethename, property address, and signatureof <br />the person submitting the protest. Oral protests do not count as formal written protests. <br />ATTEND THE PUBLIC HEARING. Written protests may also be submitted at the Public Hearing on June zf <br />zozo, at 5:455 pp m., in the City Council Chambers at zz Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA gz7oi. All members o <br />the public will have an opportunityto speak and give testimony regarding the proposed residential/curbside cart <br />refuse service rate adjustments atthe Public Hearing; however, only written protests will counttoward a majority <br />protest. Written protests must be received before the conclusion of the Public Hearing. The public hearing is <br />subject to being held electronically or by teleconference if required or Permitted by national, state and/or local <br />orders as a result of the COVID-ig public health emergency crisis.
