It is incredibly important for undocumented residents of
Santa Ana and beyond to have good legal representation, and to deprive them of representation gives them an
unfair disadvantage, leading to torn families and destroyed lives, and it strips all credibility of the city's legal
decisions.
Secondly, your priorities are completely askew when it comes to funding. You have fired over 100 part-time
city staff, who are essential to keeping the city safe and healthy, while including $13 million in funding for the
police in your draft budget.
Thirdly, I am appalled at your silence towards the police's aggressive and violent response to protestors
exercising their freedom of assembly. The council must condemn police handling of protests, as well as the
brutal beating and killing of people as a whole. We need a police oversight commision with
subpeona powers.
Thank you,
Kh ue Bui khuevbui(agmail.com
khuevbui.com/welcome
[qO
