The city is
currently on track to be $12 million short for this fiscal year and $25.6 million short next fiscal. Increasing the
police budget during such a bleak financial outlook is absurd. Part of the reason Santa Ana is in such dire
financial straits is paying out wrongful death civil suits on behalf of our police force. I am asking for the
upcoming police budget to either be frozen at it's current level or to be decreased, with those funds then being
allocated to other services that better benefit our community.
Thank you for your time,
Jordan Johnson
Washington Square resident
Santa Ana, 92706
714-225-6016
