Invest in our youth.
How can you prioritize our youth? By empowering their parents and guardians
I strong recommend that you cut the proposed expenditure of $140.8 million in half and empower parents and
guardians of the youth by creating a sustainable affordable housing program and by improving the health care
resources available to our most vulnerable.
Create a sustainable affordable housing program that not only meets the needs of undocumented, refugee.
immigrant single and/or low income parents and guardians. A safe, clean, equipped home environment impacts
the day to day livelihood of parents and the way they raise and educate our Santa Ana children.
Improve the healthcare resources so they exceed the needs of undocumented, refugee. immigrant single and/or
low income parents and guardians. Our youth will have a brighter future when poor housing conditions and lack
of access to healthcare resources is not distracting them from their involvement in school and extracurricular
activities as they prep for higher education, and ultimately to return to the city of Santa Ana and take proactive
leadership is making our city.
I was on the line for one hour but I never had the chance to get the mic.
Kindly,
Sandra
