Orozco, Norma
From: Dorilyn Toledo <toledo.dory@gmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 2020 3:43 PM
To: eComment; Pulido, Miguel
Subject: Policies to decrease police violence
Hello Mayor Pulido and others,
I am a constituent of yours, living in Santa Ana. I am emailing you today to urge you enact policies to decrease
police violence. Campaign Zero identified 6 policies that our city could implement:
• Ban chokeholds and strangleholds
• Require de-escalation
• Exhaust all alternatives before shooting
• Ban shooting all moving vehicles
• Establish use of force continuum
• Require all force be reported
I found this information on https:Hgcantwait.orQ/ and they note Santa Ana already has policies that require
warning before shooting and a duty to intervene, so thank you for that! But we can always be doing more!
I urge you to act today.
Sincerely,
Dorilyn Toledo
Dorilyn G.
