Orozco, Norma
From:
Bad Drivers Around Orange County <gabejava33@gmail.com>
Sent:
Monday, June 01, 2020 10:00 PM
To:
eComment
Subject:
Agenda Item 65B 12nd of June, 2020
Dear Santa Ana City Council and Mayor Miguel Pulido,
My name is Gabriel Javalera. As a resident of this great city, I write this in support of the proposed budget to
increase public safety spending by $13.5 million. Even though the COVID pandemic has contributed to $12
million in losses this fiscal year, public safety of this city is more important than ever.
Many residents, including myself, have expressed that there is a need for more resources regarding public safety
within the community. I, along with many fellow Santa Ana residents of this city do not feel safe, even within
our own communities.
Especially during these troubling times, during a pandemic, and the social unrest seen across this country,
public safety is more important than ever.
Our members of public safety in this city needs this increased funding. A strain on resources for these public
safety agencies is the last thing we (City of Santa Ana Residents) need. I, along with many of you want to see
the best from this city. But we can only do that if the residents feel safe to go out.
Strength and Love
Thank You,
Gabriel Javalera
