Apprenticeship <br />Support legislation that provides apprenticeships, <br />State/Federal <br />Training <br />skills training, and other workforce development <br />opportunities. <br />Business and <br />Collaborate with the Governor's Office of <br />State <br />Economic <br />Business and Economic Development on <br />Development <br />initiatives that provide financial assistance to <br />businesses looking to locate to or expand in <br />Santa Ana. <br />CDBG / HOME <br />Collaborate with federal representatives to <br />Federal <br />preserve CDBG funding for Santa Ana to ensure <br />the development of capital park projects, social <br />service programs, and parks/recreation <br />programs. Seek to protect the HOME Investment <br />Partnerships Program from funding cuts, which <br />help expand affordable housing, increase jobs, <br />and rovide ublic services. <br />Foster Development <br />Support investment of the Recycling Market <br />State <br />of Green Businesses <br />Development Zone Program that creates jobs, <br />reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and diverts <br />waste from landfills through the City's <br />designation and participation in the Orange <br />Count Rec clin Market Development Zone. <br />Homelessness <br />Support legislation that provides financial or <br />State/Federal <br />policy support to local governments that work to <br />address issues surrounding homelessness. <br />Housing Choice <br />Advocate for funding for the Housing Choice <br />Federal <br />Program Access <br />Voucher Program and the program's <br />administrative fees. <br />Housing First <br />Support legislation that expands funding for the <br />Federal <br />Program <br />Housing First Model to provide permanent <br />supportive housing for individuals that are <br />homeless. <br />Skills Gap <br />Support legislation that promotes industry <br />State/Federal <br />training and employment opportunities for job <br />seekers to assist in achieving a livable wage. <br />Tax Credits <br />Work alongside NAHRO and the ACTION <br />Federal <br />campaign to establish a permanent four (4) <br />percent credit rate for allocated acquisition <br />credits and to raise the annual housing credit <br />allocation to states. Support legislation to expand <br />and improve the affordable housing credit <br />program. <br />WIOA Funding <br />Support and advocate for funding of the <br />Federal <br />Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act <br />(WIOA), which enables the City to continue to <br />invest in workforce education, infrastructure, <br />training, and job search assistance <br />19C-11 <br />
