2020 Legislative Platform and 2019 Legislative Scorecard <br />June 16, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />INITIATIVE <br />CHANGE FROM 2019 TO 2020 <br />Although former Attorney General Jeff Sessions <br />Cannabis Regulation <br />rescinded the Cole Memo, cannabis regulation remains <br />a priority. This item was removed from the <br />Legislative Platform. <br />The new FY 2020-21 — 2024-25 Five -Year Strategic <br />Citywide Strategic Plan <br />Plan is now complete. This item was removed from <br />the Legislative Platform. <br />On March 10, 2020, the City was awarded $625,000 <br />from the State's Department of Housing and Community <br />Land Management System <br />Development (SB 2 grant funds), which will fund the <br />upgrading of the City's land management system. This <br />item has been removed from the Legislative <br />Platform. <br />The 2020 Census enumeration process is currently <br />Ensure Accurate Census 2020 <br />underway and will be completed in the near future. This <br />item was removed from the Legislative Platform. <br />Expand Consumer Options for Internet <br />This topic is included in the digital divide/equity item for <br />Access <br />the Information Technology department. This item was <br />removed from the Legislative Platform. <br />Health and Wellness <br />This item was removed from the Legislative <br />Platform and replaced with a new legislative initiative. <br />Library Development <br />This item was removed from the Legislative <br />Platform and replaced with a new legislative initiative. <br />With the creation of the stand-alone Library Services <br />Library Services <br />Department, this item was added to the Legislative <br />Platform. <br />Park Development <br />This item was removed from the Legislative <br />Platform and replaced with a new legislative initiative. <br />Property Tax Revenue Allocations <br />To ensure that revenue generation remains a priority, <br />this item was added to the Legislative Platform. <br />Science Education <br />This item was removed from the Legislative <br />Platform and replaced with a new legislative initiative. <br />City staff remains engaged on this administrative <br />Self -Service Portal <br />activity. As such, it was removed from the Legislative <br />Platform. <br />Additionally, all of the legislative initiatives that were designated as "Joint -Department Initiatives" <br />were reorganized into a specific City department. The corresponding department for each of the <br />legislative initiatives outlined in the Legislative Platform will serve as the lead department and will <br />work cross -departmentally to support each initiative. <br />19C-2 <br />
