A collaboration exists <br />with Santa Ana College, which focuses on job <br />training for English Language Learners. <br />CDBG Funds <br />Collaborate with federal <br />(HK) Continues to vigorously push for increased <br />representatives to preserve CDBG <br />funding of Community Development Block Grant <br />funding for Santa Ana to ensure the <br />(CDBG) Program and its importance to cities, <br />development of Capital Park <br />including Santa Ana. For 2020, the CDBG <br />Projects, social service programs, <br />appropriation was increased to $ 3.424 billion, in <br />and parks/recreation programs. <br />contrast to the previous year of $3.3 billion. <br />The City fully expended CDBG funds for various <br />Capital Park Projects and met HUD's expenditure <br />deadline. Ultimately, <br />additional state funding was included in the state <br />budget to help buy down liabilities related to the <br />State's pension liability issues, but no significant <br />action was taken to address local pension issues. <br />It is unlikely that pension reform legislation will <br />move forward at the federal level. <br />The Human Resources Department recruits and develops a talented workforce, ensuring a safe and healthy work <br />environment.
