Salas, Diana
From:Kayleigh Levitt <kayleighlevitt@gmail.com>
Sent:Tuesday, June 16, 2020 4:51 PM
To:eComment
Subject:Oppose item 20C
Dear Mayor Pulido and Members of the Council,

I oppose the purchase of national auto fleet group in the amount of $236,215, as well as the contract amendment
of $75,000 and additional use of $202,647 in equitable sharing funds. All of this amounts to more than the
amount the city gave for emergency rental relief for a majority renter city during a global health pandemic, for
just 5 police vehicles. The city has a skewed idea of what creates safety.

This goes against the national effort to defund and de-legitimize the idea that police have a role in public safety.

Kayleigh Levitt
Ward 5
1
