Salas, Diana
From:Venessa Vargas <kitwhitman5@gmail.com>
Sent:Tuesday, June 16, 2020 8:04 PM
To:eComment
Subject:Fireworks
I live in the SA Memorial Park area. The city needs to get rid of the fireworks. You aren't making money off of
the safe and sane fireworks because all the people buy are illegal fireworks. I have only ever seen officers on
the fourth with news cameras following them handing out citations. I have someone on my street selling them
as well as drugs and video and pictures do nothing to get the police to come out. Wouldn't the city stand to
prosper financially if it enforced citations for illegal fireworks and street racing. And why isn't SAPD doing
anything about the drug dealing happening around Washington Elementary and Memorial Park? Why can they
get a warrant off neighborhood complaints but not clear video of drug transactions?
1
