Orozco, Norma
From:Yarexy Bello <yarexy.bello@gmail.com>
Sent:Tuesday, June 16, 2020 3:53 PM
To:eComment; Iglesias, Cecilia; Penaloza, David; Solorio, Jose; Villegas, Juan; Bacerra,
Phil; Pulido, Miguel; Sarmiento, Vicente; Mendoza, Nelida
Subject:MANDATORY MASKS FOR ALL
Santa Ana City Council Members,

I write to you to urge that YOU make masks and face coverings mandatory in Santa Ana, CA. According to the
Orange County Health Agency, the city of Santa Ana has one of the highest number of COVID-19 cases with a
total of 1,939 cases. YOU have the authority to protect the community in Santa Ana. Individuals from the city
of Santa Ana continue to be one of the most vulnerable, underserved communities. For these reasons, most
community members do NOT have access to affordable health care and are still forced to hold essential jobs
during the pandemic.

One way YOU can protect us is by making masks mandatory in the City of Santa Ana. According to the World
Health Organization, one of the ways to continue to protect ourselves and others from becoming infected is
to wear masks/face coverings. I have included the links to research and data below if you dare be educated.

Orange County Health Agency (Case counts by cities): https://occovid19.ochealthinfo.com/coronavirus-in-oc
World Health Organization (COVID-19 advice for the
public): https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public

Hopeful that you will make the right decision for the community that you "represent",
Yarexy Bello

1
