A-2020-122 <br />protective equipment, for medical personnel, police officers, direct <br />service providers for older adults and individuals with disabilities in <br />community settings, and other public health or safety workers in <br />connection with the COVID-19 public health emergency. <br />(2) Unemployment insurance costs incurred by the <br />Subrecipient related to the COVID-19 public health emergency if such <br />costs will not be reimbursed by the federal government pursuant to the <br />CARES Act or otherwise. <br />(3) Payroll expenses for Subrecipient's public safety, human <br />services employees whose services are substantially dedicated to <br />mitigating or responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency. <br />(4) Public health expenses to improve telework capabilities <br />for Subrecipient's employees to enable compliance with COVID-19 <br />public health precautions. <br />(5) Public health expenses for disinfection of public areas and <br />other facilities, e.g., nursing homes, in response to the COVID-19 <br />public health emergency. <br />(6) Costs related to modification of Subrecipient offices and <br />facilities to mitigate COVID-19-related threats to public health and <br />safety. <br />(7) Expenses for care for homeless populations provided to <br />mitigate COVID-19 effects and enable compliance with COVID-19 <br />public health precautions. <br />(8) FEMA cost share requirements under the Stafford Act. <br />C. The following is a nonexclusive list of expenditures that shall <br />not constitute Eligible Expenses payable from the grant amount: <br />(1) Payroll expenses for Subrecipient's public health or health <br />care employees, including any employee authorized to act as a local <br />health officer pursuant to Sections 101040, 101085, 101460, 101470 or <br />120175 of the California Health and Safety Code. <br />(2) Damages covered by insurance. <br />Page 3 of 10 <br />
