Approve an appropriation adjustment to recognize $544,000 in grant revenue from the State <br />Coastal Conservancy and appropriate $544,000 into the corresponding expenditure <br />accounts (Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency Capital Grant Fund) for the <br />Renovation of the 17th street Triangle Park and Rest Stop. <br />2. Approve an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Capital Improvement Program to <br />include the 17th Street Triangle Park and Rest Stop Project. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On February 26, 2019, the City of Santa Ana, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency <br />(PRCSA) submitted an application to the State Coastal Conservancy for the following project: <br />17th Street Triangle Park and Rest Stop — Grant $544,000 <br />This project will renovate the bike rest stop area off the Santa Ana River Bike Trail with a <br />viewing deck overlooking a riparian landscape. The rest stop is located on the east side of <br />the Santa Ana River where the existing Orange County Bike Trail crosses the river and the <br />City of Santa Ana Bike Trail meet. Total project cost $544,000. Indirect/Overhead costs are <br />not funded by the grant. <br />On Thursday, June 18, 2020, the Board of the California State Coastal Conservancy awarded the <br />City of Santa Ana $544,000 for the Renovation of the 17th street Triangle Park and Rest Stop. The <br />State Coastal Conservancy is processing the agreements and the City is seeking an appropriation <br />adjustment in order to begin progress on the project once the agreement is executed. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />20C-1 <br />
