HRC Memo Update <br />July 7, 2020 <br />Page 6 <br />Staff Recommendation <br />It is recommended that a task force consisting of the Planning and Building Agency, the Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Agency, and the Public Works Agency be utilized to prepare <br />a Tree Preservation Ordinance addressing the protection and preservation requirements of trees <br />located on public and private properties. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />A Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be necessary to procure third party services to assist with <br />surveying and working with the community to develop a program to establish a historical district <br />designation program for future designations. The approval of the services and costs will need to <br />be presented to the City Council for approval at that point in time. There no fiscal impacts <br />associated with this component of staffs recommendation at this time. <br />Submitted By: Minh Thai, Executive Director — Planning and Building Agency <br />Exhibits: 1.
