I am submitting a public comment for <br />agenda item 65D in support of the renewal of the Deportation Defense Fund at its current level of $200,000. The <br />immigrant population of Santa Ana is what gives this community so much diversity and uniqueness It is a true pleasure <br />to live and work amongst such incredible individuals and it would be unjust on so many levels to slash the Deportation <br />Defense Fund and put a large number of our community members in an even more vulnerable position We have a duty <br />to help our community in any and every way possible. If you deny agenda item 65D, then you will be telling countless <br />residents of Santa Ana that you are okay with their forced removal from our city. Please, continue providing protection <br />to Santa Ana residents facing detention and deportation and support the renewal of the Deportation Defense Fund at its <br />current level of $200,000. <br />Sincerely, <br />Ann Sheehy <br />
