I went to school in Santa Ana at the Orange County <br />School of Arts for six years, and after graduating in 2016 1 am still passionate about calling Santa Ana my home. <br />I am demanding that the budget set forth for the police department not be heightened. Not only that, but the police <br />department should be defunded to provide better government resources and programs. We need to be funding <br />education, affordable housing and healthcare, and resources for marginalized people and those systematically at a <br />lesser advantage in our society including people of color and indigenous people. <br />Do not defund immigration assistance programs.
