APPROVE AGREEMENTS WITH WORKING WARDROBES, CHARITABLE <br />VENTURES OF ORANGE COUNTY dba PROJECT KINSHIP AND THE CITY OF <br />ANAHEIM TO PROVIDE WORKFORCE READINESS AND TRAINING FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2020 TO 2022 ($2,300,000) (NON-GENERAL FUND) - Community <br />Development Agency <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements <br />for an amount not to exceed $2,300,000 with the following organizations for a term <br />commencing July 7, 2020 to March 31, 2022, subject to non-substantive changes <br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney: <br /> <br />1. Working Wardrobes - To provide workforce readiness, recruitment, intake, <br />assessment, service planning, workshops, customer service training, case <br />management, individual career planning, resume assistance, job development, <br />retention, job club, communication techniques, supportive services, and job <br />training for 105 unemployed people with barriers to employment - $550,000 <br />(Agreement No. A-2020-XXX); <br /> <br />2. Charitable of Ventures of Orange County dba Project Kinship - To provide <br />career planning, work readiness skill-building, training, and certifications; job <br />development, intensive case management, and peer mentoring; education <br />enrollment and retention; civic opportunities and leadership development, and <br />incentives, training stipends, paid work experience, and other supportive <br />services for 95 unemployed people with barriers to employment - $850,000 <br />(Agreement No. A-2020-XXX) and <br /> <br />3. City of Anaheim – Workforce Connection - To provide occupational skills <br />training in high growth industries, work based training, job preparation, paid <br />work experience, assessment, career planning, job development, mentoring, <br />counseling, job retention and supportive services, for 90 unemployed people <br />with barriers to employment - $900,000 (Agreement No. A-2020-XXX) <br /> <br /> <br />25F. APPROVE AN AGREEMENT WITH URBAN FUTURES, INC. FOR A TOTAL <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $155,000 TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ADVISORY <br />AND DISSEMINATION AGENT SERVICES (GENERAL FUND AND NON- <br />GENERAL FUND) – Finance and Management Services Agency <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the City Manager to execute an <br />agreement with Urban Futures, Inc. for financial advisory and dissemination agent <br />services beginning July 7, 2020 through June 30, 2023, with provisions for a three- <br />year professional services agreement and with two one-year renewal options, in an <br />amount of $31,000.00 per year for a total amount not to exceed $155,000 for the <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA 10 JULY 7, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />
