Project A in Quarter 1 <br />includes a five day summer camp incorporating peer to younger peer mentoring with social and emotional <br />development through the performing arts. A minimum of 30 high school students from Santa Ana High School and a <br />minimum of 40 students from Heninger K-8 School will participate in the 5-day summer camp. Through the <br />integration of performing arts and soft skills development such as confidence, team building, communication, <br />leadership, and emotional and social intelligence, students will engage in performing arts activities that will nurture <br />and ultimately demonstrate the application their learning. <br />Project B in Quarter 3 includes an 8-week after school program incorporating peer to younger peer mentoring with <br />social and emotional development through the performing arts. A minimum of 40 middle school students from <br />Willard Middle School, and a 150 elementary students from El Sol will participate in the 8-week after school program <br />at one hour a week. Through the integration of performing arts and soft skills development such as confidence, team <br />building, communication, leadership, and emotional and social intelligence, students will engage in performing arts <br />activities that will nurture and ultimately demonstrate the application of their learning. <br />Both Project A and B will culminate into a 90-minute production for the community and families. Students will come <br />together to demonstrate emotional intelligence through the performing arts production. <br />PROGRAM EXPENSES: Program expenses include equipment fees for sound, lighting, av, and stage pieces, <br />fingerprinting cost, costumes, and most importantly staff time to hire, recruit, coordinate, and train for the program. <br />Cost per student is $288 for the minimum of 260 participants. Up to 90 more students can participate with no <br />additional cost. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
