ROUTINE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE WORK <br />The preventative maintenance specified is considered the minimum for all equipment. If <br />specific equipment covered by this contract requires additional maintenance for safe <br />and reliable operation the Contractor shall perform the required maintenance. <br />The scope is full maintenance to regularly and systematically examine, lubricate, clean <br />and adjust vertical transportation equipment and provide callback service and, as <br />conditions warrant, repair or replace portions of the vertical transportation equipment <br />included under the following with the exclusions as outlined in the section Excluded <br />Services. <br />Contractor's employees conducting elevator maintenance at the Police Department will <br />have escorted access and will be continuously monitored while working at the Police <br />Facility. Projects requiring permanent or semi -permanent assignment to the Police <br />Facility for one to eight weeks will require a LiveScan, at Contractors expense. <br />Proposer agrees to regularly and systematically examine, clean, lubricate and adjust the <br />vertical transportation equipment and provide call-back service and, as conditions <br />warrant, repair or replace all portions of the vertical transportation equipment included <br />under this contract with the following exclusions only: <br />1. Repairs required because of negligence, accident, or misuse of the <br />equipment by anyone other than the Contractor, his employees, sub - <br />Contractors, servants or agents, or other causes beyond the Contractor's <br />control except ordinary wear. <br />2. Repairs or replacement building items, such as hoistway or machine room <br />walls and floors, car enclosures, car finish floor material, hoistway entrance <br />frames, doors and sills, telephone equipment and signal fixture faceplates. <br />3. Mainline and auxiliary disconnect switches, fuses, and feeders to control <br />panels. <br />4. Lamps for car and machine room illuminations. <br />In performing the above -indicated work, Contractor agrees to provide only genuine parts <br />used by the manufacturers of the equipment for replacement or repair, and to use only <br />those lubricants obtained from and/or recommended by the manufacturer of the <br />equipment. <br />PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />Proposer agrees to maintain the following minimum performance requirements of the <br />elevators designated below: <br />1. Speed as certified: +/- 5% under any loading condition. <br />2. Capacity: Safety lower, stop and hold up to 125% rated load. <br />3. Leveling: +/- 3/8" under any loading condition. <br />4. Door Closing Time, Thrust and Kinetic Energy shall comply with ANSI Code. <br />
