This allows employees to fully understand the material presented to them. <br />All training and information is provided in a language the trainee will understand. <br />Training Certif)cotion <br />Supervisor is responsible for keeping records certifying each employee who has successfully completed training. Each <br />certificate includes: employees name, date and score if a test or trainers signature if certifying. <br />Safety and Health Recordkeeping <br />To reduce or eliminate employee injuries or illnesses, we are committed to learning from past experience and making <br />corrections for future operations. Although we may <br />not be able to eliminate all problems, we try to eliminate as many problems as possible to Improve employee protection <br />and encourage safe work practices. By having our Program Administrator(s) thoroughly evaluate and revise our written <br />Injury and Illness Prevention Program in a timely manner, we can eliminate problems effectively and ensure that our <br />program is appropriate to workplace conditions. At this company, program evaluation is performed by our Program <br />Administrator(s) annually to determine what is working well and what changes, if any, are needed. <br />The evaluation involves the following: audit of the program. <br />Heat Illness Prevention <br />As an employer whose work activities are primarily outdoors, we strive to comply with Section 3395, Heat Illness <br />Prevention. Adequate drinking water, access to shade, heat -related emergency procedures, and employee and supervisor <br />training are key to preventing heat illness. To ensure access to sufficient quantities of potable drinking water and frequent <br />consumption, the following steps are taken: annual training, water provided for outdoor projects. We provide access to <br />shade at all times and ensure this by taking the following steps: breaks, provide hats, job modification. <br />To ensure that employees have access to a preventative recovery period, we follow these steps: job modification. <br />When an employee exhibits signs and symptoms of heat illness, it is critical that the following steps be taken: send <br />employee to clinic for evaluation. Also, should emergency medical services be necessary, the following steps must be taken <br />so that those services can be provided without delay: call 911. <br />In addition, we train both supervisory and non -supervisory employees on the following: <br />• Environmental and personal risk factors for heat illness; <br />• Frequent water consumption; <br />• Acclimatization; <br />• Types of heat illness and common signs and symptoms; <br />• Reporting procedures; <br />• Emergency response procedures; and <br />• Procedures for contacting emergency medical services. <br />25 <br />
