Teens learn to set goals <br />and they develop a goal plan of training, activities, and experiences that will help them achieve their goals.These <br />activities are directly related to the work that is conducted at Delhi Center for the community. Teens learn about <br />risk factors that negatively impact young people and about protective factors that help combat their adverse <br />results. Teens take what they learn and design and conduct educational activities to train younger children, ages 7- <br />13 to build resiliency aimed at gang and drug prevention. The program addresses Goal 2, Str3tegy 2A of the City of <br />Santa Ana's Strategic Plan and is conducted during non -school hours in a well -respected community center trusted <br />by residents. Funding will pay for one full time Program Coordinator and additional support staff needed to <br />complete all tasks required. Teens receive up to a $500 scholarship for completing all program requirements, <br />which is generated through donations. The program will reach a total of 63 unduplicated youths with a total of <br />1,424 contacts of one to four hours per contact. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
