These students will be given the opportunity to participate in our therapeutic programs which focus on youth with severe behavioral and emotional problems. These programs have a therapeutic emphasis that the After School Arts programs do not have. However, youth can engage in both (After School Arts programs and Therapeutic programs). The emphasis of the Therapeutic Arts program is on Healing. Parents - In addition to the programs offered to youth, the parents will be invited to participate in both Parenting Classes and Family Counseling. Families experiencing Crises Intervention and emotional/ behavioral problems, will be provided with weekly Counseling and therapeutic programs for both youth and their parents. The frequency of the service delivery will depend on the specific component of the program and the nature of the problem. For families participating in our Crime prevention program, the emphasis will be placed on enrolling them in our After School Arts, Tutoring and Parenting Classes. For families participating in our Crime Intervention program, the emphasis will be placed on enrolling them in our Therapeutic Arts Program, Individual Therapy and Family Counseling. In addition to the After School Arts Program, the youth will be provided with the opportunity to receive daily tutoring in our Learning Academy Program, and receive academic support with any subject they are struggling with academically, such as math, science, reading, etc. at school. Tutors will be available Monday through Friday during the same after school hours of operation to help our youth on any given day of the week. We also provide tutors at Willard Middle School for students that cannot come to OCCTAC. EXHIBIT A
