EXHIBIT 1 <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AND <br />SANTA ANA POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br />REPRESENTATION UNIT <br />FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2018 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021 <br />This First Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") is entered into on <br />August 18, 2020, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation <br />organized and existing under the Constitution and the laws of the State of California ("City") and <br />the Santa Ana Police Management Association ("SAPMA") a recognized employee bargaining <br />unit (collectively "Parties"). <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the Parties have entered into an MOU dated October 1, 2019 with a term of <br />July 1, 2018 through June 20, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties wish to modify Articles 4.0, 9.0, 14.0, 26.0 of their MOU asset <br />forth below. <br />THE PARTIES THEREFORE AGREE as follows (additions are underlined and deletions <br />are stricken): <br />1. Article 4.0; Section 4.8, amend the language as follows: <br />4.8 Annual Performance Based Salary Adjustments -Bonus Pay: <br />Effective July 1, 2018, and every year thereafter, eEach Nan-Swern employee <br />covered by this MOU v.'
