Tenants United <br />Santa Ana in previous campaigns (2018 and present) has shown massive public <br />interest in a rent control ordinance for Santa Ana. <br />On Tuesday, August 18, the City Council will be deciding whether or not to give <br />petition circulators an extension (Agenda item 85B). We know that in other cities, <br />petitioners have been granted an extension because the shelter -in -place orders <br />prohibited signature gathering, causing petitioners to lose days they were legally <br />entitled to in the democratic process. <br />We urge you to grant the extension and support placing the rent control initiative on <br />the ballot. <br />4"Apzl <br />Rev.
