Please don’t extend the petition signature period. <br /> <br />The way I see it is there are two kinds of apartment owners: mom and pop owners who generally charge 5% <br />under market and raise rents 1-3% per year like clock work and corporate apartment owners who push rent <br />increases and defer maintenance. If Santa Ana votes in stringent rent controls the mom and pop owners will <br />simply sell.
