Needle related incidents at the <br />Santa Ana Public Library and Surrounding Area <br />January to November, 2017 <br />451471202 7 Sunday I2:20..00 AM <br />1 needle <br />While on patrol, asOfficer was entering the building from the north side, he noticed a <br />transient sitting by the front door of the emergency exit. 0frcerlift told hint politely that he could not <br />be sitting in front of the exiting door. Transient complied and started to gather his things. As he was <br />getting his belonginggf�notieed the syringe that was on the Boor next to him. He asked the transient <br />if the syringe belonged to him. He responded "no." The transient left the premises. Needle disposed of <br />properly. <br />05/08/2017 Monday <br />Officer Oft witnessed $ transient <br />female pick up a syringe from the ground <br />and placed it on the branches of a tree in <br />front of the library.
