Exhibit 2 <br />le1Uzi ►U]EAII:11WK9b32*11111ILYAFA9:4 <br />In preparing a cost estimate for the project, applicants should comply with the following: <br />1. All project elements should be detailed and customized to fit the project. <br />2. Each element should be clearly described in the project narrative. <br />3. Each funding source must have its own column. Other Funding Source columns <br />headings should specify cash or in -kind. <br />4. Youth Community Access Grant and Other Funding Source columns should sum to <br />the Total Cost column. <br />5. The cost of specific non -labor project elements funded by the grant should not <br />be split between the grant and other funding sources. <br />6. The estimates provided should be based on quotes by a general contractor, cost <br />estimator, or provided directly by a qualified vendor or sub -contractor. <br />7. Add/delete elements and funding sources as needed. Be sure all costs are eligible, <br />within allowable limits, and all columns add up correctly. <br />8. If Capital Development Project, total non -construction costs (direct staff time, <br />consultants, permitting, etc.) are capped at twenty-five percent (25%) of the grant <br />request. <br />9. Contingency costs can be no more than ten percent (10%) of the grant request. <br />10. Grantees that wish to charge overhead must include as a separate line item in the <br />budget and limit to 15% of the total direct costs of the grant. In service payroll may <br />not include a "billable rate" or administrative cost allocation. See Appendix C for <br />further information on requirements if requesting overhead. <br />20 <br />55B-29 <br />
