DRAFT MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />August 4, 2020 <br />SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION MEETING <br />SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION AND OPEN SESSION MEETING OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL - AUGUST 4, 2020, 4:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER - Mayor PULIDO -A <br />Mayor Pulido called the Closed Session to order at 4:04 p.m. Councilmember Mendoza <br />joined the Closed Session meeting at 4:08 p.m <br />Councilmembers BACERRA, MENDOZA, PENALOZA, SARMIENTO, SOLORIO AND <br />VILLEGAS <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS - None. ilk <br />CLOSED SESSION ITEMS - The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss <br />certain matters without members of the public present. The City Council finds, based on <br />advice from the City Attorney, that discussion in open session of the following matters <br />will prejudice the position of the City in existing and anticipated litigation: <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL --EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to <br />paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9 of the Government Code: <br />Ross Berrera, et al. v. City of Santa Ana, Orange County Superior Court Case <br />No.: 30-2015-00771129-CU-WM-CJ C <br />2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED INITIATION OF <br />LITIGATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 54956.9(d) OF THE GOVERNMENT <br />CODE: One case - Request to file civil nuisance abatement lawsuit against <br />property located at 2600 N.
