11VIOOTE <br />GROUP <br />Land Management Specialists <br />Marjorie A. Knitter is the inspirational president of <br />Paul A. Moote & Associates, Inc., dba The Moore Group, <br />a full -service construction management firm providing <br />land development solutions to developers, builders, <br />municipalities and lenders in all aspects of land <br />development and infrastructure programs from <br />entitlement through finished lots. She is well known in <br />the Southern California construction industry, with more <br />than 25 years of experience in land management and <br />active leadership roles in numerous related associations. <br />Marjorie oversees all aspect of business planning, <br />development and management for the Santa Ana, Calif. - <br />based firm of 22 employees that specializes in <br />engineering feasibility, land development cost estimates <br />and all phases of construction management. She has <br />personally been the bid/contract administrator for both public and private developments <br />representing more than $500 million in construction specifications and contract documents <br />as well as manages their core business of due diligence support providing finished lot cost <br />estimates. <br />Since assuming leadership of The Moore Group during the economic recession in 1990, <br />Knitter has grown the family business from seven employees to 22 and expanded the <br />firm's expertise from civil estimating and construction management to include bid <br />solicitation, negotiations, contract preparation and administration, utility consulting and <br />coordination, expert witness and litigation support, risk assessment, land use permitting <br />and entitlement, and Construction Reimbursement Support for both public and private <br />projects throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. Diversification helped The Moore <br />Group not only to survive, but to thrive, even in the cyclical real estate and construction <br />industry. <br />Knitter has industry connections that run deep, developed over years of leadership and <br />active participation in numerous construction associations, and is the current chair of the <br />Development Trends and Strategies Conference for the Orange County Building Industry <br />Association. She is a regular speaker at universities and industry conferences on the topic <br />of construction and development management.
