Jonah with Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE) spoke regarding use of <br />public land and expressed opposition to Item 25A. <br />Nathaniel Greenside spoke regarding park closure, expressed opposition to Item 25A, <br />spoke in support 20A, spoke in opposition to 22B, and expressed support of Item 85B. <br />Dan S. noted his availability to provide comments for public hearing Item 75C. <br />Gary spoke in support of the Bowery Redhill/Warner initiative. <br />Dale Helvig spoke regarding the General Update. <br />Barbara Lichman noted that she is available for Item 75C. <br />Manuel Torres spoke regarding Item 75C and the opportunities granted as a union worker <br />and as a resident. <br />Danielle W. spoke in opposition to the sale of the YMCA property, Item 25A, and ask <br />council to enter into a revenue lease agreement to generate on -going long-term revenue. <br />Naul Palomino spoke in opposition to the sale of public land as it relates to Item 25A and <br />regarding the public comment process. <br />Michael Harrah spoke regarding Item 25A, as it relates to employment opportunities, <br />beautification of site, the cost of seismic retrofit, and the various taxes that will benefit the <br />city. <br />Clerk of the Council Daisy Gomez provided a summary of the eComments received. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />MOTION: Approve staff recommendations on the following Consent Calendar <br />items: with the exception of 20A, 22B, 23A, 25A and 25E. Councilmember <br />Sarmiento abstained from 25F due to a real property interest in close proximity to <br />site. <br />Motion to Approve the Consent Calendar items 10A through 55C with the exception of <br />20A, 22B, 23A, 25A and 25E.
