REGULAR OPEN MEETING - 5:45 p.m. (Immediately following the Closed Session <br />Meeting) <br />CALL TO ORDER - MAYOR PULIDO <br />Mayor Pulido adjourned the Closed Session at 6:35 p.m. and called the Regular Open <br />Session to order at 6:41 p.m <br />COUNCILMEMBERS BACERRA, MENDOZA, PENALOZA, SARMIENTO, SOLORIO, <br />AND VILLEGAS <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - MAYOR PULIDO <br />INVOCATION - DOUG HARDIN, Police Chaplain <br />COUNCILMEMBERS Present: <br />Mayor Pulido, Mayor Pro Tern Villegas, Councilmember Penaloza, Councilmember <br />Sarmiento, Councilmember Solorio, Councilmember Bacerra, and Councilmember <br />Mendoza <br />COUNCILMEMBERS Absent: None <br />CEREMONIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION of the Orange County Registrar of Voters Update on <br />the November 2020 Election by Justin Berardino, Operations Manager. <br />Council discussion ensued and direction provided to Orange County Registrar of <br />Voters representative and city staff. <br />Councilmember Bacerra thanked Orange County Registrar of Voters for the <br />additional voting sites. <br />Councilmember Penaloza requested an additional drop off ballot be included in the <br />area of Standard and Bristol, North of Edinger. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento encourages public outreach by the Orange County <br />Registrar of Voters and Clerk of the Council in notifying the community of the new <br />available voting drop off -sites. <br />Councilmember Solorio spoke regarding the need in equity and distribution <br />throughout the County. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Villegas inquired about the frequency in which the voting boxes <br />will be emptied by the Registrar of Voters. <br />DRAFT CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 Off,-3 AUGUST 18, 2020 <br />
