CRE,MI E <br />Beez Kneez Creative founder Nette Pletcher brings over 20 years of experience in developing, delivering, and <br />evaluating science content for learners of all ages, predominantly in informal settings focused on wildlife <br />conservation and consetvation-conscious behaviors. She has extensive experience working on -the -ground <br />with zoo practitioners to apply theories of learning based on empirical research. Pletcher has an academic <br />background in conservation education, with practical application in the zoo/aquarium setting, including <br />design, implementation, and evaluation of programs, exhibits, and interpretive activities. From 2009-20 M <br />Pletcher led nation-wide education initit uves and oversaw the professional development program at the <br />Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). She worked for five years as a front-line educator at the <br />Smithsonian's National Zoological Park. Pletcher holds a Master of Arts in Education from American <br />University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Swarthmore College. Pletcher also earned a teaching <br />certificate in secondary science and taught middle school science for three years. In 2010 she completed the <br />Conservation Psychology Institute at Antioch University New England. <br />Services Offered <br />Beez Kneez Creative advises conservation education leaders in government, private industry, zoos, aquariums, <br />nature centers, and other organizations that connect people to nature. <br />Beez Kneez Creative offers services in: <br />education strategic planning <br />• curriculum design and development <br />• program and exhibit evaluation <br />professional development and capacity building for staff <br />Beez Kneez Creative will provide consulting services for the City of Santa Ana that will be utilized for the <br />development of the Community Connections: The Zoo & You programmatic series. <br />Standard Rates (for any project -related tasks not otherwise defined below) <br />Front of house tasks (e.g., evaluation instrument design, data collection, data analysis, reporting) _ $150/hour <br />Back of house tasks (email and phone communications, background research, meeting planning) _ 590/hour <br />Curriculum Development (for education materials such as lesson plans activity guides, online materials_ etc.) <br />Research & planning = 4 hours @ $90/hour = $360 <br />Writing & development = 15 hours @ $150/hour = $2,250 <br />TOTAL = $2600/learning goal (as defined by a single educational outcome) <br />
