Jason Pereira, PE, CPSWQ, QSb/P, <br />QISP, CGP/IGP-ToR <br />Jason Pereira is a founding Principal of CWE with 24 years of <br />experience in developing and implementing of stormwater <br />management programs for compliance with NPDES Permit <br />requirements and has prepared numerous documents for the <br />implementation of pollution prevention practices including <br />WQMPs, SWPPPs, Erosion Control Plans, SPCC Plans, and <br />TMDL Implementation Plans. He has worked extensively on <br />projects to obtain tangible, cost-effective improvements in <br />water systems and urban runoff water quality through <br />proactive initiatives in regulatory compliance. As a technical <br />expert, Jason has presented numerous workshops on critical <br />water -related issues at CASQA Annual Conferences and <br />other events. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />City of Torrance Stormwater Basin and Treatment <br />Wetlands Enhancement Principal -in -Charge for the design <br />of two treatment wetlands and two infiltration basins to retain, <br />treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff. Conducted a hydrologic analysis using <br />MODRAT in WMS to evaluate the reservoir routing and pumping from the interconnected <br />wetlands/detention basin system under Capital Flood and SUSMP conditions. Conducted <br />public outreach to gain input from the nearby community and residents. Designed construction <br />documents for the proposed improvements, including site grading, roadway paving, recycled <br />water line, and piping plans; retaining walls; park lighting and signage; stream channel and <br />infiltration basin design; trails, viewing areas, and landscaping details; a water -tight system for <br />irrigation; inlet and outlet structures; bridge structures; culverts, pump stations, and other control <br />structures; electrical and mechanical plans; and SCADA plans. The project included <br />coordination with the LACFCD. Special consideration was given to protect the burrowing owl <br />habitat and the legless lizard. Performed legless lizard surveys prior to and during construction. <br />Specifications per Greenbook and special provisions and estimates were also prepared. <br />
