Statement of
QUALIFICATIONS
GEOGRAPHIC
INFORMATION SYSTEM
(GIS)
WLG assists clients to organize,
analyze, manage, and express
complex projects involving land,
natural resources, databases,
population, existing infrastructure/
inventory, buildings, and much more using a strategic alliance of spatial
technology and applications. WLG's expertise in asset management
system, data collection, and application development spans over 40 years. Staff are able to integrate surveying
technology with asset management systems such as Aveva and Esri platforms for ease of data fluency. This state-of-
the-art technology enables WLG to collect, share, analyze, and deliver complex information faster and easier adds
value to our client's and agency's existing systems. Some of the types of GIS projects WLG's staff have delivered on
WestLAND
Group, Inc.
Engineering I CPOSP[lal I land Planning
includes:
+ Energy (Pipelines)
+ Database Management, Migration, and Updates (Private Companies; City, State, and Federal Agencies)
+ Land -Use Planning (Commercial/Retail, Industrial, Residential)
+ On-Call/As-Needed Contract Services
+ Presentation Graphics/Visualizations
+ Public Works (New Facilities, Infrastructure, Improvements)
+ Transportation (Bridges, Highways, Rail, Roadways, Streets)
+ Utilities (Sewer, Water, Storm Drains, Stormwater, Electrical Infrastructure, Improvements, New Facilities)
WLG's diverse services are supported on a framework of data management built around GIS. Capturing and
maintaining spatial aspects of data allows for efficient project design and completion. Survey field data, Light
Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), aerial mapping, and engineering plans are imported and managed within a GIS
nfrastructure. Multiple
attributes are recorded and
maintained with spatial
integrity. WLG's field crews use
the GIS interface to manage the
large amounts of data collected
daily across a range of service
areas.
Our trained geospatial
professionals manage these
large amounts of field data, performevaluations, andpresent
complex components, which can be critical for moving a
project forward with the right design elements successfully.
