April 1, 2020

David Pedroza:

We are in the middle of a Pandemic crisis which involves thousands of lives. At this time the
cities concern should be updating the public on the stats as to how many people are being
tested for the coronavirus as well as giving the public as much information as possible regarding
what is to become of our homeless issue.

Yesterday I saw an ad which indicated that the homeless population is taking over empty
buildings to shelter. Some are concerned that they are becoming brasin as there was a death
involving the homeless at Santiago Park. This to me is not news as we have had problems with
theft, vehicle breaki-ns and loitering. Unfortunately, a project such as this should not take the
president. Instead we should be trying to get our Mayor Miguel Polido to broadcast at least
once a week to his citizens for which he should be supporting through this very unsettling time.
Although many of us are scared and unsure of what our future looks like it would be nice if the
City would show some support in the way of addressing some of our issues.

Not everyone has access to the internet and a lot of seniors are not familiar with computers.
The fact that he shows a few videos on his website is not a sure way of letting the people of
Santa Ana really know or fully understand exactly how serious this is.

There is not enough stay at home going on. I see a lot of people gathering at French Park and
small children as if nothing. Sure it is good not to give into this virus but because we truly do not
know how or what exactly makes it spread so fast we are all at risk. I know for a fact cats
contract the disease “ HOW” not sure. The sad thing is I am not even sure this letter will help
after all I have reached out to you on several occasions and never once had the pleasure of
your response.

I think postponing the meeting and allowing others to possibly consider if they want to join in is
the best recourse once we have passed the pandemic. Today our numbers went up. I don’t
feel you are doing enough to notify the people of this problem. The problem being you want to
allow the 4th dences City to add more bodies to our already list of growing corpses. I don’t
know about you but I want to live so perhaps you need to join the many Americans who are
trying desperately at this time to make a difference. I guess the question here is how much do
you value life?

Again, please put this on hold so we can work together like a city should. Los Angeles, Mayor
Garcetti is the perfect example of a Genuine human who looks out for his people. Our Mayor
needs to step up to the plate “NOW”. Please make a difference!

Al & Lupe Brambila
