FREE RECORDING PURSUANT TO <br />GOVERNMENT CODE § 27383 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020-xx <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2020-11 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />1805 NORTH LOUISE STREET, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2020-10 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On October 29, 2020, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. <br />2020-11) and categorization (Historic Resources Commission <br />Categorization No. 2020-10) of the Young -Keeler House located at 1805 <br />North Louise Street, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Young -Keeler House has distinctive architectural features of the <br />Ranch House style and was built in 1954. <br />C. The Young -Keeler House qualifies for listing in the Santa Ana Register of <br />Historical Properties under Criterion No. 1 for embodiment of the <br />distinguishing characteristics of the Ranch House style. It is also notable <br />for its association with prominent Santa Ana builder and developer, Roy <br />Russell. Additionally, the house has been categorized as "Contributive" <br />because it "has a distinctive architectural style and quality" representing <br />the Ranch House style in Santa Ana. Character -defining features of the <br />Young -Keeler House include, but may not be limited to: materials and <br />finishes (brick, stucco, horizontal wood board lapped siding, and board - <br />and -batten siding); moderately pitched side -gabled roof design; wide open <br />eaves with exposed rafters; decorative pointed eave extensions; wood <br />porch supports with triangular braces; and fenestration (multi -pane hung, <br />tripartite, and casement windows where extant); and architectural detailing <br />(crisscross pattern design). <br />D. The legal owners of the property are Timothy J. and Jeanice S. Barker. <br />E. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />25C-320 <br />
