EXHIBIT A <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />SPACE PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br />RFP NO.: 20-040 <br />Introduction and Background: <br />The City of Santa Ana intends to retain Space Planning and Architectural Services on an as -needed <br />or "on -call" basis. A Professional Services Agreement will be entered into with several of the <br />qualified firms/consultant(s) to provide space planning and architectural services for a variety of <br />projects on an on -call basis. Areas of responsibility shall include architectural, space planning, <br />structural, construction management, mechanical and electrical engineering, ADA survey, and <br />move management services. On an on -call, as -needed basis, the selected firm(s) may be asked to <br />provide professional services on specific, project -by -project basis, based on an agreed -upon scope <br />of services and fees. All proposals, plans, drawings, specifications, estimates, grant applications, <br />and/or studies will be subject to the final approval and satisfaction of the City of Santa Ana. <br />The architects and engineers in the firm must be licensed and legally qualified in the State of <br />California to practice the work for which consideration is requested. Selected firm(s) shall have <br />the necessary qualifications and experience to provide space -planning, architectural, and <br />engineering consulting services to the City. Services may involve all or some of the phases of <br />project development and shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following activities: <br />Site Analvsis <br />Perform site analysis during initial design work. This may include site visits, photographs, analysis <br />of existing space(s), meetings with various City departments to discuss specific space <br />requirements. <br />Conceptual Lavouts/Space Planning <br />Prepare alternative preliminary space layouts, including engineering details and engineering <br />calculations, and estimates of probable costs for each alternative. Present information to the City <br />along with a written response of the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative plan taking <br />into consideration operational, programmatic, adjacency needs and appropriate design standards. <br />Permits/City Approvals (City as regulatory agency) <br />Assist City departments in obtaining entitlements, permits and other City approvals, as required. <br />Architectural, Interior Design, and Engineering Services <br />Provide architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services and cost <br />City of 2AOP 1�17 <br />1 20-040 <br />
