PROPOSAL <br />Space Planning and architectural consulting Services <br />RFP No. 20-040 <br />Section 2: Scope of Services and Schedule <br />IDS understands that diversity is the essence of on-call/as-needed space -planning and architectural <br />consulting services. Assignments vary greatly in scope, duration, and degrees of technical complexity. We <br />use a project -specific tailored approach that adheres to the following general principles. <br />• At the outset confer with the City Project Manager to develop a clear understanding of the project <br />scope and perimeters <br />c Include our multi -discipline A/E team to gain a wholistic understanding of demands and variables <br />• Submit the project -specific proposal to the City Project Manager that includes: <br />o Our project understanding including the City's project budget if known. <br />o Scope of services including assumptions and exclusions. <br />o Proposed timeline; and <br />o Proposed compensation delineated by phase and task. <br />• Upon authorization to proceed, IDS will provide our services to completion <br />c Always relying on the City Project Manager as our City prime point of contact <br />c Always keeping the City Project Manager informed of developments in real time <br />Description of Work: <br />We understand that the scope of services includes: <br />Site Analysis <br />• IDS' team will perform a site analysis which may include site visits, photographs, analysis of existing <br />space(s). <br />c Deliverables: Written reports annotated by photographs, annotated existing facility drawings, and <br />graphics <br />Conceptual Layouts / Space Planning <br />• The IDS' team will develop conceptual layouts and space plans addressing City requirements based <br />on our meetings with the City's staff, project scope, budget, time and project constraints, and priorities. <br />c Deliverables: Annotated sketches (most often in plan view), photographs, and letter summarizing <br />criteria, alternative design schemes, Rough Order of Magnitude Likely Cost Estimates for budgeting <br />purposes, and recommendations. <br />Permits/City Approvals <br />• IDS' team will provide the customary A/E project technical support during the permit/approval process. <br />c Deliverables: submittal documents plan review comment responses, meetings when required — <br />from submittal to "permit ready to issue" milestone. <br />AA IDS GROUP 25r -34 Page 19 <br />
