7 of Santa Ana Section 8: System Evaluation and Ca <br />PAssurance Plan <br />2) The City's Sanitary Sewer Standard Specifications and the Standard Plans for Sanitary Sewers and <br />Design Guidelines for Water and Sewer Facilities outline the appropriate design criteria necessary to <br />ensure sufficient capacity, as well as preserve the estimated life -cycle of wastewater infrastructure. <br />Any design that is not encompassed by the City Standards shall be sufficiently reviewed to ensure <br />proper design and construction of the facility. <br />3) The City has established a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to address projected hydraulic <br />deficiencies. The CIP is included in the City of Santa Ana Sewer Master Plan, and includes projected cost <br />estimates, alternatives analyses and project prioritization. The City's Sewer Enterprise Funds describe <br />how the City proposes to continue to pay for the CIP, by noting fund balances, funding sources and fund <br />uses. <br />The Sewer Master Plan Update contains a list of each projects identified as necessary to increase the <br />capacity of portions of the system. The projects are grouped by priority into four categories, with <br />priority category one being the highest. The projects are being addressed based upon the priorities. <br />4) The City has developed its CIP, as presented above, and plans to review and update it accordingly as <br />projects are completed and ongoing CCTV efforts identify additional areas of consideration. <br />8.3 Supporting Documents <br />Thefollowing documents, attached as appendices, support the City's System Evaluation and Capacity Assurance <br />Plan, thereby allowing the City to comply with the System Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan requirements <br />of the WDR: <br />• The City of Santa Ana Standard Plans for Sanitary Sewers, Public Works Agency, Appendix F. <br />Additionally, the following documents also support the City's System Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan, <br />and are available from the City's Water Resources Division.
