(2) Form 1-5, 1, Alien Registration Receipt Card (for permanent resident aliens) <br />(3) Form 1-94, Arrival -Departure Record, with one of the following annotations: <br />(a) "Admitted as Refugee Pursuant to Section 207" <br />(b) "Section 208" or "Asylum" <br />(c) "Section 243(h)" or "Deportation stayed by Attorney General" <br />(d) "Paroled pursuant to Section 212 (d) (5) of the INA" <br />(4) If Form 1-94, Arrival -Departure Record, is not annotated, then accompanied by one <br />of the following documents: <br />(a) A final court decision granting asylum (but only if no appeal is taken) <br />(b) A letter from an INS asylum officer granting asylum (if application is filed <br />on or after October 1, 1990) or from an INS district director granting asylum <br />(if application filed before October 1, 1990) <br />(c) A court decision granting withholding of deportation <br />(d) A letter from an asylum officer granting withholding of deportation (if <br />application filed on or after October 1, 1990) <br />(5) Form 1-668, Temporary Resident Card, which must be annotated "Section 245A" or <br />"Section 210" <br />(6) Form 1-68813, Employment Authorization Card, which must be annotated "Provision <br />of Law 274a.12(11)" or "Provision of Law 274a.12" <br />7-II.H. VERIFICATION OF PREFERENCE STATUS <br />SAHA must verify any preferences claimed by an applicant that determined placement on the <br />Waiting List. <br />SAHA Policv <br />1. United States Military Veteran Preference: The veteran must have been <br />discharged under conditions other than dishonorable and were/is eligible to <br />receive veteran's benefits. Form DD-214 with a discharge status of other than <br />dishonorable, or equivalent verification, must be provided at their eligibility <br />interview appointment. The individual must have served a minimum of 90 days to <br />qualify for the preference. "Surviving spouse" means not divorced from, or not <br />remarried prior to or after the death of the veteran. A marriage and death <br />certificate will be required for a surviving spouse. <br />2. Residency Preference: At least two pieces of evidence must be provided for <br />families who live or work in the City of Santa Ana including but not limited to a <br />lease, utility bills, bank statements, or paycheck stubs. <br />SAHA will offer priority to any family that has been terminated from its HCV program <br />due to insufficient program funding. SAHA will verify this preference using termination <br />records. <br />4-95 <br />
