He has mastered the <br />interface between community design expectations, urban in -fill architecture and <br />modern code standards for fire 1 life safety, energy, and accessibility. John has <br />been an active member of the architecture and urban design of Southern <br />California. <br />Education <br />■ Masters of Architecture, Southern California Institute of Architecture <br />Professional Credentials <br />■ Professional Architect: CA (#15573) <br />Professional Affiliations <br />■ American Institute of Architects (AIA) <br />Relevant Project Experience <br />■ Alhambra Campus Tenant Improvement Building #2 and #3, Alhambra, CA: IDS is providing <br />architectural, structural, mechanical engineering (HVAC & plumbing) and electrical engineering for a <br />tenant improvement involving a corporate office and engineering lab in existing buildings. Area of work <br />in building 3 is 3,900 SF, and building 2 is 11,806 SF. <br />As Principal Architect, John oversaw the project and coordination. The scope of the project includes <br />field verifying existing conditions, construction documents, space consolidation, and renovation, <br />restroom design, and ADA compliance. <br />■ City of Azusa Light & Water Department, Azusa, CA: Principal Architect providing architectural <br />design service for the remodeling of the building to improve the safety and security for its employees. <br />Scope of services include reconfiguration of an office supply and equipment storage room into an office <br />with four workstations, ADA upgrades, and interior finishes. <br />■ City of Irvine Workspace Relocation and Tenant Improvements, Irvine, CA: Project Manager for <br />the tenant improvement of the expansion and relocation of various departments in the City of Irvine <br />Civic Center. The project primarily focused on the expansion of the existing police department (Public <br />Safety) as a result of recent population growth within the city in the last few years. <br />■ West Basin Municipal Water District, Donald L. Dear Building, Carson, CA: Principal Architect. <br />IDS was hired to perform a Preliminary Design Report (P.D.R.) where we would review and evaluate <br />the existing building as well as a preliminary space plan completed in 2015. We were to asses both the <br />existing and the 2015 proposed plan for Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing needs. <br />■ City of La Palma City Yard Offices, La Palma, CA: Principal Architect. These facilities were in a worn <br />condition, were a poor match to current space needs, and did not comply with ADA/Accessibility <br />requirements.
